A recent news story broke of an Ohio woman who was implanted with the wrong embryo (< — This really means baby) by a fertility clinic. Instead of aborting the baby, the woman decided to carry to term and even to give the child up for adoption to the biological parents. I know nothing of the pro-life stance of the woman, but this was clearly a pro-life decision. Consider this quote from the woman, "This was someone else's child," 40-year-old Carolyn Savage told the AP on Wednesday. "We didn't know who it was. We didn't know if they didn't have children or if this was their last chance for a child." Of course, if this were merely some glob of tissue as pro-choice advocates sometimes call it, then this statement by the woman is meaningless. But as it stands, it is a baby and deserves our protection.
Christian Nurse Forced to Assist in Late-Term Abortion
25 JulThis one strikes close to home, since my wife is a nurse in the ER. It seems more and more likely that she may one day face the same challenge. How sad it is that our culture is so obsessed with death that we got to any length possible to force it on others.
Excerpt from the article:
According to ADF, hospital administrators told Cenzon-DeCarlo that there was an “emergency” late-term abortion procedure that she must assist with or else face disciplinary action. She had repeatedly objected to being a part of the abortion process and the hospital reportedly has known of her religious objections to abortions for many years.
Obama to Increase Funding for Abortions
21 JanFrom Foxnews.com
President Obama will issue an executive order on Thursday reversing the Bush administration policy that bans the use of federal dollars by non-govermental organizations that discuss or provide abortions outside of the United States.
Obama will sign the executive order on the 36th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in all 50 states.
The Obama Presidency is not but a few days old and already he has shown that there is nothing in his rhetoric that points to real “change.” He immediately follows in President Clinton’s footsteps and issues an executive order funding abortions. Considering all of the challenges this country faces, it is telling that Obama has so quickly acted on an issue such as this. It is a tragedy, which will only get worse as he loosens any and all restrictions on abortion. And it is for this reason that Pastor Rick Warren should not have prayed at the inauguration.
A Plate for Everyone, Except Pro-Lifers
15 NovHere is an article from One News Now about a case in Illinois involving a group who wanted to create a pro-life license plate. And while the state has a number of other causes approved as a license plate, and the money would go towards a good cause, the state kept saying no. Now it is going to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Planned Parenthood Under Investigation
30 SepFrom One News Now:
More than 50 members of Congress have asked the Health and Human Services Secretary to conduct an audit of Planned Parenthood over allegations that the abortion provider has overbilled the federal government.
Proclaim the Truth’s Take: It would not be a shocker that an organization that exists based on death and human destruction would at the same time be fraudulent. Rest assured, Planned Parenthood –as with all purely human endeavors — is as corrupt as any other major instituion we know of. Human institutions fail us everyday, particularly those built largely on an already corrupted moral foundation.

Does Obama Support Infanticide?
17 SepHere is an ad from John McCain that to me is quite effective:
Here is an interview of the woman, Giana Jessen, that is in the ad:
I am still mystified that people can still support abortion when it is clear that it results in the destruction of a human life.
Obama Shows Ignorance on Abortion Issue
7 SepThe more Obama discusses the issue of abortion, the more clearly it becomes that he has done very little thinking on the subject. Please consider the Fox News article found here: http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/09/07/obama-abortion-answer-at-saddleback-was-too-flip/
Here is an excerpt:
Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama acknowledged Sunday that he was probably too flip when he said it was “above my pay grade” to answer a question about when is a baby entitled to human rights.
Obama gave his answer last month at a nationally televised religious forum sponsored by minister Rick Warren at his megachurch in Orange County, Calif.
Asked on Sunday whether the “above my pay grade” answer was too flip, Obama said: “Probably. …What I intended to say is that, as a Christian, I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into … It’s a pretty tough question.
“And so, all I meant to communicate was that I don’t presume to be able to answer these kinds of theological questions,” he said in an interview broadcast Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.”
This is unfortunately, willful ignorance on the part of Obama. And if not, the alternative is political maneuvering. One way or the other, his answers are less than satisfactory. In response to Obama’s comments, I must argue that this is not a theological question. It is in fact a scientific and a philosophical one. Surely Obama has considered the logical ramifications of his beliefs; apparently not. Anyway, the question of when human rights should be provided to the baby/fetus is one that I expect any member of our government to consider thoughtfully. If they are going to disagree with me, then they better have thought it through and provide a reason. To handle such an important issue with such flippant disregard for any type of logical thought process makes it impossible for me to consider him as a viable candidate. I would much rather deal with some of the most radical viewpoints than deal with ignorance.
